Raj Yavatkar

Raj is a VMware Fellow and serves as the Chief Architect for Hyper-Converged Infrastructure. He is responsible for driving Converged Infrastructure strategy for private and hybrid clouds as well as developing solutions that bring together Software-Defined Data Center and Converged Infrastructure technologies. Prior to VMware, Yavatkar was an Intel Fellow with a strong track record of inventing new technologies and leading technical teams to translate technical strategies into products. Raj led Intel's efforts in the areas of networking systems, systems (hardware and software), and System-on-Chip architecture. Raj is an IEEE Fellow and is recognized as a leading expert in the networking industry. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and holds more than 35 patents.
